Old Attic Becomes A Part Of A Contemporary Duplex Apartment

In one case but a uncomplicated storage cranium in a building that was congenital in 1901, the space was finally transformed in 2022 when it became a part of a contemporary duplex flat. The conversion was done past f + f architectes, a studio known for its contemporary approach to blueprint and the power to create decors inspired by context.

The duplex was created by converting the erstwhile maid rooms and calculation the to a higher place loft space which until so was used for storage. The transformation was completed in 2022 and the designers had a very clear vision of how the space should look like. They used a simple palette of materials which includes wood, MDF and marble. The original wooden floors in some of the rooms were preserved and refreshed.

The kitchen and bathrooms make use of marble for their counter and isle designs. This adds a very elegant touch to the decor. Blackness MDF was too used for a lot of the article of furniture as well equally for the staircase and a box-similar book which conceals functions such as a bedroom, a bath and a storage area.

The master bedroom is minimalist and this gives it a spacious feel

The lower level is composed of a home office, a family room, the bedrooms and bathrooms while the top floor houses an open infinite equanimous of a living space, a dining area and the kitchen. The entrance hall has a double top ceiling and it divides the space into ii zones, putting the main bedrooms and children's rooms on 1 side and the guest bedchamber and the office on the other.

A big window was added to the decor of the 2d bathroom in club to give it a more than spacious experience

Black MDF was used for the box volume, the staircase and some of the furniture, including the kitchen cabinetry and counter. The upper flooring puts the dining surface area at the heart, with the kitchen on ane side the living room on the other. The living room faces a large terrace.
